How to Start the Engine on a Harley Ultra Classic

With their state-of-the-art, on-board computer system, they are remarkably easy to start. At the press of a button, the engine will prime itself, preparing the fuel-injection system and fuel pump for a quick start.      Unlock the ignition switch with your bike's barrel ignition key. Rotate the switch to "Ignition."

     Press the "Run/Stop" switch on the right handlebar control to the "Run" position.

     Wait for the red, engine-shaped light on the tachometer to stop glowing.

   • 4

     Pull the clutch lever all of the way in. Press the "Start" button. The engine should now start. If not, wait a few seconds and perform the procedure again.
